Corporate VP Technology Infrastructure

Led networking, data centers, servers, infosec, and database management for the bank, broker-dealer, and insurance company with headquarters in CDMX and 17 branch offices in Mexico. Led a team of about 25 people, including extensive reorganization through hiring and firing. Influenced IT strategy at the C-level and board-level stakeholders: risk and compliance committees. Drove modernization through Agile (Kanban/Scrum) and achieved significant operational cost reductions while maintaining resilience standards.

Head of Trading Technology

Ideated and executed the DMA trading product (order entry, market data), using fluency in data, resulting in a daily volume of 200M USD for JJ, the biggest prop-trading client in México. Improved DMA operations for New York-based customers by coaching the local operations team in intercultural customer service. Maintained the fastest connectivity between Equinix NY4 and the Mexican Stock Exchange co-location through strategic negotiations and resource allocation, resulting in being the largest broker for prop-trading in México in 2012 and 2013.

Founder and Head of Product

Defined the strategy, product vision, and roadmap, and launched two MVPs. Then, after 18 months of a runway, which included the COVID-19 global pandemic, we folded the venture. Identified unmet needs in ticketing and independent services through 70+ customer interviews; built two distinct MVPs within rapid iteration cycles. Designed and launched an online scheduling and payment platform for independent service providers in Mexico. Executed Lean startup methodology and implemented a fail-fast approach upon validating insufficient product-market fit.
