Me in a Nutshell

I have not pursued what is considered a traditional path - it winds, it scales great heights, it screams down mountains, and sometimes gets on two wheels going around steep turns. I've had what could be considered three different careers - sports & entertainment, Gen Z and Millennial marketing, and now recruitment and job search. Each journey has included entrepreneurial ventures - either starting divisions for other companies or building my own companies. I have many interests - I love to learn something new every day, to explore things that interest me, to meet and help people along the way. To me, the people on the ride are the best thing about my life. I love to work and I'm not sure I'll ever stop - building teams and chasing dreams. I love it.

Building/Construction

I love working with my hands and building things. I did a lot of the work on our home in Boston when we bought it 12 years ago – it was last renovated in 1984 so it felt a lot like the 80s! I recently gut-renovated a farmhouse in Vermont – doing most of the work myself or with my sons (I don’t touch anything that can kill me – electric, plumbing, or foundations). I also built a custom treehouse for my daughter which was my pandemic hustle. It is rare that I do not have a side weekend project that I lose myself in for a few hours at a time. I block out the rest of the world, clear my head, and love that there is something I can look at come the end of the project and say “I built this”!

Varsity Football Captain. Officer, Sigma Chi Fraternity; Omicron, Delta, Kappa Honor Society. Chosen by Sports Illustrated as one of eight outstanding athletes in the country based on accomplishments in their sport and the community in 1987.

Attended on an ACC Leadership Scholarship. Played Varsity Football while attending the full-time MBA program.
